Implementasi Program Gerakan Kembali Bersekolah (GKB) dalam Rangka Penanggulangan Banyaknya Anak Putus Sekolah di Kabupaten Brebes

Abstract


Education is the right of every person as mandated by Article 31 of the 1945 Constitution. However, in reality, there are still many who have not obtained it, as in Brebes Regency, which still has cases of many children dropping out of school. This study aims to determine (1) the factors that cause school dropouts in Brebes Regency. (2) The efforts of the Brebes district government in alleviating ATS/APtS through the GKB program. (3) Obstacles to the implementation of the GKB program. This study used descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity techniques used triangulation of sources and methods. Data analysis used category collection, direct interpretation, pattern formation, and generalization. The results showed that (1) The causes of school dropout consist of internal and external factors. (2) The implementation of the program includes planning, implementation, evaluation, and sustainability. (3) Program constraints include budget, ATS/APtS dropping out again, FMPP operational assistance, poor monitoring and evaluation, and so on. The alleviation of ATS/APtS through the implementation of the GKB Program is carried out by the policy team and technical implementation team by coordinating and collaborating in its return.
