Abstract

This study aims to determine: Abuse of privacy, unethical behavior, application usage policies, lack of education about application literacy, and lack of participation in public discussions are other problems that affect civic literacy. This is an area that needs attention in an effort to increase understanding of responsibility and good behavior in using TikTok and other application platforms. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of general election content on the TikTok application on the civic literacy of PPKn FKIP UNS students. The sampling technique in this study used probability sampling. The approach used was the proportional random sampling technique. The sample used in this research was 148 PPKn FKIP UNS students. This research includes quantitative research. The data collection technique in this research was by distributing questionnaire instruments to respondents. The analysis technique uses descriptive statistics, analysis prerequisite tests, and hypothesis testing. This research hypothesis test uses a simple linear regression test. The results of this research are the results of the simple regression test in this research. The significance value of the T test is 0.000, which is less than 0.05, which means H0 is rejected, meaning there is a significant influence. So, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the general election content in the TikTok application on the civic literacy of PPKn FKIP UNS students, if the content is better, civic literacy will be better, and vice versa, if the content is worse, civic literacy will be worse. And the results of the regression test obtained the equation Y= 16.056 + 0.734X. This equation shows that every 1 unit increase in the independent variable (Election Content on the TikTok Application) can have an influence on the dependent variable (Civic Literacy of PPKn FKIP UNS Students) of 0.734. For example, if the value of election content in the TikTok application is 90, then it can be predicted that the literacy value of PPKn FKIP students is Y = 16.056 + 0.734 (90) = 82.116.
