PENGAMALAN PANCASILA MAHASISWA PERTANIAN UNIVERSITAS BRAWIJAYA : PEMAHAMAN DAN IMPLEMENTASI

Abstract


Pancasila, as the official ideology and foundational philosophy of the Indonesian state, serves as a guiding principle for all citizens, including university students. As future leaders and intellectuals, students are expected not only to understand Pancasila but also to internalize and apply its values in their daily academic and social lives. However, in reality, Pancasila is often only understood at a conceptual or formal level, while its practical implementation remains limited. This study aimed to determine the extent to which students from the Faculty of Agriculture, Brawijaya University embody and practice the values of Pancasila in their academic activities, campus interactions, and broader social environments. The research employed a qualitative approach, collecting data through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The results revealed that although students demonstrated good cognitive understanding of Pancasila, there was a noticeable gap between their knowledge and actions. In particular, values such as tolerance, mutual cooperation, and social concern were not consistently practiced. Therefore, the study recommends that Pancasila development programs in higher education institutions be strengthened and implemented in more contextual, reflective, and action-oriented ways to ensure deeper internalization.
