STRATEGI PENGASUH PANTI DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER DISIPLIN DI ASRAMA YATIM DAN DHUAFA YAYASAN RUMAH HARAPAN KLARI KARAWANG

Abstract

The purposes of the research are 1) to examine the strategies of caregivers in providing disciplinary character to children in orphan and dhuafa dormitories at klari karawang 2) to know the obstacles faced by caregivers in providing disciplinary character to children in orphan and dhuafa dormitories at klari karawang 3) to know the solutions applied in overcoming challenges or obstacles in the formation of disciplinary character in orphans and dhuafa dormitories at klari karawang. It was a qualitative research. Data collection techniques used observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of collections, data reduction, display and verification or conclusion. The results showed that there were 3 strategies applied by caregivers in orphan and dhuafa dormitories such as making agreements with them against applicable rules, being firm in providing consequences for agreed rules, and having a good communication. The obstacles faced by caregivers were the differences in the character of children and the existence of internal and external factors that affect them so that they were difficult to follow the rules in the dormitory, especially on time and obey the regulations. The solution to overcome the obstacles faced by caregivers was to advice them and not give permission if they want to go out to overcome external factors. Caregivers try to understand the childrens character and establish good communication with them to overcome internal factors.
