Abstract


Abstract. The rapid development of information and communication technology has created serious challenges to the integrity of the nation's character, now manifesting as a multidimensional crisis in various aspects of life. This decline in morality is especially visible in the digital space, where negative phenomena such as high cases of cyberbullying and the rampant spread of disinformation indicate a low internalization of Pancasila values among the younger generation. This study aims to holistically explore the importance and mechanisms of applying the noble values of Pancasila as a fundamental ethical framework in social media use. The method used in this research is a qualitative literature review approach, analyzing various recent scientific journals relevant to digital literacy, character education, and digital communication ethics. The analysis shows that the five principles of Pancasila provide a specific ethical foundation to address digital pathology, from the First Principle demanding factual responsibility and the Second emphasizing empathy, to the Fifth ensuring digital justice. Strengthening character through digital literacy based on Pancasila, which includes curriculum integration and community campaigns, is crucial to creating an Intelligent and Virtuous Society as a moral fortress and an agent to counter hoaxes and bullying in the era of Society 5.0.
