UPAYA PENGUATAN PROFIL PELAJAR PANCASILA MELALUI MATA PELAJARAN PPKN DI SMK MUHAMMADIYAH 2 YOGYAKARTA

Abstract


The student profile of Pancasila is one of the important things to be implemented in the life of the nation and state. This is because the Pancasila student profile contains 6 values (divinity, belief in One God and noble character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, discipline, creativity, critical reasoning, and independence) which are guided by the Pancasila precepts. This research is motivated by the negative impact caused by globalization. In addition, the arrival of the Covid-19 virus hampered the strengthening of the profile of Pancasila students. The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students through Civics subjects at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques using interviews, documentation and observation. The research subjects were school principals, vice principals in the field of curriculum, PPKn teachers, and students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta. The object of this research is an effort to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students through PPKn subjects. The data analysis technique uses data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that strengthening the profile of Pancasila students through Civics subjects at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta is carried out in several ways, namely (1) The understanding of school residents about the Pancasila student profile is good and is pursued through schools. culture, programs and classroom learning. (2) Integrating Pancasila student profiles in learning planning which consists of lesson plans such as KD analysis, KI, indicators, materials, objectives, methods, media, and others. (3) The implementation of PPKn learning has been carried out optimally and in accordance with the RPP that has been prepared. In each process of implementing learning can not be separated from the supporting factors and inhibiting factors. Supporting factors consist of the existence of adequate facilities and infrastructure, optimizing the role of teachers, the existence of a coordination group between schools, students and parents, and school culture. While the inhibiting factors include the Covid-19 pandemic, the limited use of online learning media in PPKn subjects. The solution provided by the teacher analyzes the right methods and approaches to be used during the covid-19 pandemic, the teacher provides the widest opportunity for students to ask questions, and there is coordination with parents about the learning system.  Keywords: Pancasila Student Profile, Civics subject, Strengthening Character Education.
